Somali Judicial Training Institute Holds Annual High Council Meeting

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Hon. Baashe Yusuf Ahmed, alongside Attorney General Dr. Suleiman Mohamed Mahmoud, presided over the fourth annual meeting of the High Council of the Somali Judicial Training Institute.

The meeting brought together key judicial leaders, including the Chief Justices of the federal member states’ Supreme Courts and other senior officials, to discuss the progress and future direction of Somalia’s judiciary system.

During the session, the Director of the Institute presented notable achievements from the past year, such as the development of comprehensive judicial strategies, the implementation of professional training programs, and the establishment of international partnerships aimed at strengthening Somalia’s judicial capacity.

In his remarks, Chief Justice Baashe Yusuf Ahmed praised the Institute’s commitment to advancing judicial excellence. He emphasized the importance of continued efforts to enhance the quality, professionalism, and efficiency of Somalia’s judiciary system.

The meeting underscored Somalia’s ongoing dedication to judicial reform and capacity building, key components in the nation’s broader efforts to establish a robust rule of law.
